Great option for downtown Blacksburg! Visiting again this town and ended up here for lunch on a Sunday. The service was great, quick and very cordial, for a table of 7 and the order was all correct. We tried Pork Gyozas, Takoyaki and Edamame to start. The Gyozas were pretty good, but I think the Takoyaki was short on flavor, perhaps a bit more Takoyaki sauce and mayo on top was required. For mains couple of ones from the menu that you see in the pictures. The only one dish that did not fully satisfy one of us was the Shoyu Ramen (3.5/5.0), the broth and chicken were just ok. On the other hand the Hefun Tokontsu Ramen was pretty good and the chashu pork was well done. The dish came with enough of it, I ordered extra chashu but I don't think it was necessary. Overall a good experience and this place is certainly one of the better ones in this town. Give it a try!

My favorite spot near campus. Their lunch deals during the week are worth the price. If it’s your first time I would recommend the Japanese rice bowls.

This was out first time here and it was phenomenal. The service was quick and friendly. Loved the atmosphere. It was beautiful outside with a lovely breeze going through the restaurant. I ordered the vegetable fried rice and it was legitimately the best fried rice I've ever had. It was so flavorful, and the vegetables were perfectly tender. I can't remember what my boyfriend got, but it was eel over rice, and the presentation was beautiful. He loves Japanese food and said it was the best cooked eel he's had. Can't wait to go back and get their sushi.

For what tries to be a more upscale experience it's not doing so hot. Staff was friendly and service was fast, but the ambiance is pretty weak and feels a bit dated...and the food was meh. I ordered the recommended beef rice dish. was very sweet and beef very fatty. Didn't enjoy it. Sushi was cut into tiny pieces and some pieces didn't even have fish in them.
