I have been wanting to check out Fishface for some time and today I was downtown so... It was everything I had hoped it was with the exception of the atmosphere. In this case that's not a bad thing. I was under the impression it was a single establishment and not so much a cafeteria type setup. Don't let that misguide you. Everything was clean and orderly, the service was exceptionally friendly and very helpful. My food was prepared nicely and the gentleman even recommended no soy sauce but yes to ginger and Wasabi. This was a great recommendation with the poke bowl I selected. Yuzu Albacore: Albacore tuna, jalapeño, cilantro, fried garlic, yuzu ponzu & sesame oil. It was an outstanding dish! I loved the flavors as they waltzed among the rice with hits of jalapeño and garlic. I pulled in the ginger and Wasabi every now and then for a splash of palette cleansing and sweet heat. This was an experience I will remember and I must return to take in the other offerings. Stellar job Fishface!

First timer and I went with a custom poke bowl. It was phenomenal with the spicy kimchi ponzu sauce over octopus, tuna and a mix of greens. I definitely get the hype and will be back. Props to Chef Billy Ngo fpr bringing another great food experience to Sacramento.

No ambience since this is in a good/retail hall of sorts but the poke here is really fresh. I was definitely surprised to find poke that tasted this good so far from the ocean but I was glad I took the chance. I’ll definitely be coming back when I’m in town.

We arrived at Happy Hour. It was tough to say no to beer deals they had. Pole was done and ready by the time we finished ordering. We were able to capitalize on a chef special roll of the day. Some is to be said about finding a way to make you feel special as a customer and this place totally does just that. We sat down outside and had a fresh lil breeze that made it delightful. Maybe next time it’s a beer and a hand roll ;)
