    Got the chef's omakase here and sat at the bar - highly recommend! Even if you go a la carte, you can't go wrong, everything is very good and the service is A+. Definitely the quickest omakase meal I've ever had (in a good way). Hamachi is always my favorite and Asahi did not disappoint with their version. The waygu nigiri is out of this world good. There were a lot of things on the menu that I'm not familiar with, even as a pretty regular sushi eater, but I was pleasantly surprised with them all. I'm not into eel and uni, and while Asahi didn't change my mind, their eel and uni are definitely the best (most tolerable for me) I've had. The house sake pours are fun (you basically get two for one with the overflow pour) and is very very good. I'm just visiting, but I would absolutely come back to Asahi if I'm in the area again!

    Casual, authentic elegance. Delicious food, caring staff. We made a special request earlier in the day…. A sushi birthday cake! It was not on the menu, but the chef got right on it so that when we arrived at 6 o’clock with our daughter, turning 16, a most unique and beautiful birthday cake was ready. The look on her face was priceless, and the creation was delicious.

    A very tiny place with giant and awesome food. We were drawn to this place because it looked like someone had taken care to make it simple and comfortable. The menu is not too long but it has enough variety to satisfy most. Had the Brussels sprouts and were rewarded with a delicious version of this delicious vegetable. Not a price friendly place but a lot better than some Japanese restaurants in Napa.

    Highly recommend the omakase with chef Nobu! All the dishes and fish were thoughtfully prepared and served. The sushi fishes were a bit more unique than what we’ve tried at other restaurants and definitely with a try! Overall an amazing experience, a must try if you are in Healdsburg!

    This sushi restaurant is the REAL DEAL! Chef is so talented and creative. If you love sushi and are in for a flavor adventure, let him know… then sit back and trust him. We loved one thing after the next so much, we forgot to take more pictures. Everything was truly amazing and one of the best sushi experiences ever. We were in town four days, and ate here twice. We’ll be back and thanks so much to Team Asahi for the friendly service!
